In the fifty plus years that I have been writing songs and performing music, I’ve had the pleasure of working with some top-notch players. Mike “Big Onz” O’Neill and I played together in the 70’s before he relocated to Germany where he lives now. However, with the advancements in technology he was able to work with me on this album! The same goes for Warren Newton one of my favorite keyboard players whom I worked with in Seattle. Dale Beagle is a local keyboard player whom I’ve had the honor of working with in a couple bands in the Toledo, Ohio area where I now live. Mike Peters and Cindy Lipman are also local Toledo musicians who were kind enough to help me out with this project. About a year or so ago I met William Sohnly, a lyricist at a songwriting seminar and was amazed by his lyrics so we ended up collaborating on over half of these songs. So here we are a band of strangers and friends from two different continents who have come together to create for you… Walking Each Other Home.

For a few years in the depths of my alcoholism I didn't even own a guitar. Getting my favorite bass guitar back from a friend, I started finding my way back out of that terrible, dark place and eventually got sober. I had been in recovery for eight years when a close friend in recovery "went back out " and started drinking and drugging. It really tore me up and to help myself come to terms with all the emotions that churning up in me, I wrote the first song "Dancing With His Demons". From there came the other eleven songs based on the twelve steps in recovery. As a bonus I've included another of my favorite songs I've written which lines up with all of these entitled "That Distant Shore" .
